The transportation of hazardous materials on pallets is on the increase and brings its own challenges, this is a challenge Freightroute are well equipped and prepared for backed by 30 years of experience. Hazardous material represents over 20% of the goods we collect and deliver today meaning we understand the importance of the compliance and safety associated to the carriage of dangerous goods.
Many of our customers have a mixed profile of freight and appreciate the opportunity of a single transport solution, almost half of the freight we currently carry is from customers who require the option of a single transport solution. Working in partnership with our customers ensures their pallets are packaged and presented well, which results in their safe carriage and delivery.
Freightroute are very serious about the continuous improvement of safe working practices and proud of our compliance record, this is all supported by our retained DGSA and a further two DGSA’s employed within the business to ensure we are always up to date with any regulatory changes. This is further supported by a dedicated department overseen by our Director of Operations & Fleet Compliance which includes a full time Health & Safety Manager and Driver Training Manager. Our in-house training ensures we are efficient with driver training and ensures that at least 85% of Freightroute drivers are qualified to ADR requirements, providing the scope and flexibility to get the job done.
Freightroute is the chemical pallet network of choice providing full UK, Irish & Off-shore coverage across our own 11 depots, see fig 1, and a fleet of 250 vehicles, further supported by our dedicated partners who also adhere to Freightroute’s high standards.
