British Rema is delighted to announce that employee, Jon Hall, has won the

Newcomer Award 2024 at the Solids Handling and Processing Association (SHAPA) AGM & Awards event which took place on Wednesday 17th April 2024 at the Maritime Museum, Liverpool.

The Newcomer Award is awarded to an individual who has contributed to a member company/organisation or developed significantly in the field of bulk solids handling, contribution(s) in areas such as sales, design, innovation, apprenticeship or further studies that has/have greatly benefited themselves, their company or organisation.

Jon, who met each of the criterion, joined British Rema in April 2022 as a Sales Engineer. New to the industry, he initially supported the incumbent Commercial Manager who trained and mentored him until announcing his own retirement some 8 months later. Despite only being in his mid-twenties Jon took up the challenge of the commercial role and also assumed responsibility for the installation and commissioning of a number of projects. He also signed up to study Chemical Engineering at Hallam University to further his academic achievements.
