The Challenge: Managing Hydrogen Sulphide in 100% Slurry Feedstock

Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plants utilising a 100% cow slurry feedstock face unique biochemical challenges. While an excellent source of renewable energy, high-volume slurry processing often leads to elevated levels of Hydrogen Sulphide.

Left unchecked, high Hydrogen Sulphide levels can:

  • Corrode expensive CHP engines and infrastructure.
  • Inhibit the biological health of the digestor.

The Solution: Precision Dosing via Tuffa 15000VB Bunded Tanks

To maintain optimal digestor health, the client utilises 40% Ferric Chloride. This chemical is dosed at low, controlled volumes to precipitate sulphur and keep gas quality within the required parameters.
