Blended Products expands logistics capability

Brigg, UK – Blended Products has strengthened its liquid carbon dioxide (LCO₂) distribution capability with the introduction of a newly dual-branded Aritas Cryogenics 22 bar LCO₂ Semi-Trailer, paired with a Volvo FH540 Tractor Unit, in partnership with AD FUELS.

The specialist cryogenic trailer is dedicated to the haulage of food-grade liquid carbon dioxide, supporting customers across food and beverage, water treatment, manufacturing and wider industrial sectors. Engineered for high-pressure CO₂ transport at 22 bars, the unit enhances Blended’s ability to maintain reliable, efficient and compliant deliveries across the UK.

The trailer entered service immediately and is scheduled to travel to Belgium to load product before returning to the UK, where it will discharge via a cryogenic hydraulic pump directly into customer storage systems.

Blended Products’ new asset has been deployed in collaboration with AD Fuels, a leading independent road haulage provider specialising in the transportation of liquified gases including LNG, CNG, LCO₂ and hydrogen. Founded in 2018 by transport experts with deep experience in hazardous goods logistics, AD Fuels operates a specialist fleet across the UK and northern Europe, delivering clean energy and industrial gases with a strong commitment to safety, reliability and outstanding customer service. Their expertise underpins the operational delivery of Blended’s new LCO₂ trailer, ensuring seamless integration into broader supply chain activity.

The trailer features full Blended Products livery, reflecting the company’s continued investment in infrastructure and supply resilience. The front of the trailer also carries the wording “Operated by AD Fuels,” highlighting the operational partnership supporting the vehicle’s deployment and day-to-day logistics management.

Jon Mayes, Direct of AD Fuels said, “It looks super smart”, as the eye-catching design will hopefully peak interest on its travels.

This investment forms part of Blended’s ongoing strategy to strengthen supply chain security and expand capacity in response to sustained demand for food-grade CO₂. The additional asset provides greater flexibility within the distribution network while reinforcing the company’s commitment to safety, quality assurance and dependable service delivery.

Liquid carbon dioxide remains a critical product for multiple UK industries, particularly in food and beverage production, where consistent supply and strict quality standards are essential. By enhancing its transport capability, Blended Products continues to prioritise operational control and long-term resilience in a market that has experienced periodic supply pressures in recent years.
