AM Labels Limited (AML), an award-winning colour label printing machine specialist, label manufacturer, barcoding and software solution expert based in Northamptonshire, enjoyed tremendous success while attending a number of exhibitions throughout September 2021.

On 6th and 7th September, AM Labels exhibited at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, which took place at Olympia London. The show hosted over 700 fine food and drink suppliers, and welcomed over 10,000 attendees from industries including retail, hospitality, manufacturing and wholesale sectors. On its stand, AML demonstrated a wide range of products from many of the industry’s leading label printer manufacturers, including Epson, OKI and Primera. The DTM LX610e colour label printer was particularly popular with attendees, as it can print and cut custom labels in one operation, while producing professional, high quality results. Benefitting from a 4800 dpi resolution, this model enables users to effortlessly import their design and select a range of cut formats, from standard die-cuts (including squares, circles or rectangles), or a custom cut that will automatically follow the outline of the chosen artwork.

While exhibiting at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, AM Labels offered advice to businesses looking to create allergen labels that are fully compliant with the recent changes to the law regarding the way in which food ingredients and allergens are packaged and labelled. Natasha’s Law is a key concern for many companies in the industry, and AML demonstrated a number of products on its stand that can support businesses through the changes that were brought into force on 1st October 2021.

On 15th and 16th September, AM Labels exhibited at CHEMUK, an event that brought together chemical industry professionals across a variety of sectors, including industrial, biochemicals, processing and product formulation. AML demonstrated a variety of products that can support businesses operating in the chemical industry in meeting vital labelling standards, including GHS and BS5609. For example, the best-selling Epson ColorWorks C6500 colour label printer benefits from an eight-inch print width and 1200 dpi resolution. It can effortlessly print clear and concise hazard pictograms to GHS standards, reducing costs, streamlining processes and saving resources, while preserving worker safety.

A further exhibition that took place at the NEC, Birmingham was the PPMA Show 2021, and AM Labels exhibited from 28th to 30th September. PPMA is the largest exhibition of its kind in the UK, and this year the show welcomed over 300 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors from a range of sectors in the processing and packaging machinery, robotics and automation industries. During the company’s sixth time exhibiting at PPMA, AM Labels demonstrated a variety of products including the Epson ColorWorks C6000 Series, the OKI Pro9000 Series, the OKI Pro1050 and the Afinia L901.

AML’s stand at the PPMA Show also featured a dedicated area displaying an extensive range of thermal printers, RFID printers and barcode scanners. Not only this, AM Labels showcased Datalogic Machine Vision Systems, which was highly popular with attendees. The technology includes a wide range of intelligent devices for in-line inspection and factory automation, from smart vision sensors to smart cameras and industrial vision processors. Datalogic Machine Vision solutions can be used for a variety of applications including, but not limited to, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Pattern Sorting Tools (PST), quality inspection, automated guidance, line scanning, and presence detection. For example, it can identify parts through a barcode while reading characters and identifying defects, by comparing an image of the product against a standard.
