Anton Paar UK announces 2026 Polymer Processing and Characterisation Workshop in Luton
Anton Paar Ltd has announced the return of its highly requested Measuring and Characterising Polymers Workshop, taking place on Wednesday 17 June 2026 at the company’s UK headquarters in Luton. Following exceptional demand in 2025, which led to three additional sessions being added, this year’s event will be the only workshop of its kind scheduled for 2026.
Designed to consider the needs and interests of industrial scientists, process engineers, and academic researchers, the full-day workshop will provide practical guidance and hands-on experience covering polymer processing, analytical characterisation and performance optimisation across the polymer lifecycle.
Hosted at Anton Paar UK (950 Capability Green, Luton, LU1 3LU), the workshop will run from 09:45–16:30 BST and will feature expert-led presentations, live demonstrations and real-world case studies.
The workshop is designed to help professionals strengthen their understanding of polymer behaviour, from raw material selection through to final product performance and quality control. Participants will gain practical knowledge and analytical insights that can be directly applied to current industrial challenges.
Key Learning Outcomes
Throughout the workshop, attendees will explore key techniques and methodologies, including:
- Polymer rheology and viscoelastic behaviour using rotational, oscillatory and extensional testing
- Mixing and extrusion techniques, including troubleshooting, process control and scale-up
- FTIR and Raman spectroscopy for polymer identification, additive analysis and structural monitoring
- Moisture and viscosity analysis for quality control and formulation performance assessment
- Microwave digestion techniques for advanced polymer sample preparation and elemental analysis
- Hands-on demonstrations using Anton Paar and Brabender instrumentation
- Real-world case studies across multiple polymer industries
